Hello guys!
It's been awhile since we posted something new and so we are finally back with a beauty post today!
Something different, and hopefully the first of many to come given how we really like (this is an understatement if you've known us for awhile) playing around with makeup, and all that jazz. Mandy received a makeup kit from Benefit as a Christmas gift, so we thought that we would just do a short review on what was provided. Just in case you feel that your face gear is somewhat lacking in the new year.
We hope this gives you a new look to try out too with the existing stuff you might already own to create a really natural, everyday look as I did with this kit.

The Box
We both thought the packaging was really gorgeous! Who doesn't love decorated tin cans really?
What's Inside
You'll find some classic Benefit favourites, such as the Benetint, the Porefessional primer and They're Real! mascara. Then there were these gorgeous neutral eyeshadow shades that I was incredibly eager to use these on her.
The pigmentation is pretty decent, but honestly nothing too spectacular in my opinion. Nonetheless they spread well and proved to be both blend-able and easy to work with. I personally liked how they are so office friendly considering how they are not too sparkly. They have a satin finish with a slight shimmer - enough to brighten your face without making you look like a disco ball.
And this was how it ended up, with just a thin thin coat of mascara and some light dusting of the blush all over the cheeks. Again it's a great neutral palette, and I would imagine that most girls looking for an all-in-one set will really get the most out of this.
For anyone who is too lazy to check out various basics to makeup, you can always try out this option given how Benefit provides all of these essentials in reasonable sizes. Most products, as with the eyeshadow, provide good pigmentation that's buildable, which is good for heavy handed beginners. Yeah I know as beginners we all start out that way. Provided that you don't mind the higher-end prices of course(the last we checked, you can get this kit from Sephora at $86)
That's all for our short little update, and we'll see you guys real soon. We've got more food posts to keep your tummies happy this Chinese New Year, so please look out for that! (:
Love,
Brendy
