Review: Drury Lane

Hello everyone!

We have again been buried under mountains of work with our exams coming up just in a week; we apologise for the lack of updates ):
We do however have some things lined up for the upcoming summer so please stick around until then!
In the meantime,we wanted to share with you guys about our early morning breakfast that we had at Drury Lane some 3 weeks ago! Mandy said that we needed to get a life and that reviews were pretty positive(most of them said the food was good and affordable) and it fit the bill for an early morning breakfast place(it opens at 9am) so we thought we'd pay it a visit before going for lessons.
What are mornings without caffeine, Mandy always asks me.
I wish I knew because sadly coffee makes me feel like being sick but it really does smell heavenly!

What Was For Breakfast
Mandy ordered the Eggs Benedict with Salmon, which she found pretty passable, given that it was 9am and we were both starving after walking many rounds to find Drury Lane pretty hungry. Its redeeming factor was probably that it every component(especially the salmon and avocado slices) tasted fresh, though all in all, it was a tad under-seasoned.
I had the scrambled eggs set, which comprimised mostly of scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, bread and some avocado slices together with baked beans to top it all off. It was rather decent, although I was expecting a little more of an oomph to justify the 12 dollar price tag.
I do suppose what all mornings look like when all of us are such phone addicts. Oops.
I particularly like this shot!
The interior of the room was particularly attractive to me. This was the upper floor, which is what daydreams are made of with plenty of sunlight, wood and white walls. It was pleasantly quiet on the morning that we dropped in too, which I suppose will be wonderful for all of you who are looking for dates locations out there!

The red door was adorable. It almost reminded me of the bright red doors and buses in London for some reason.

In conclusion, I felt a little disappointed that it didn't exactly live up to all the hype (and what I was thus expecting of it) that it was getting from other reviews off the world wide web.
Nonetheless if you fancy yourself a nice place to have an early meal in, this would be a great place with its welcoming ambience.

Overall rating: 3/5
