I hope you guys don't hate me for loading on the makeup posts because I have a lot to review. HAHA.
But it will get better I promise there are more food posts and miscellaneous things on the way.
So yes, back to the topic at hand - today we're going to discuss something known as CREAM BLUSHES. Well or you could call it Super Shock Cheek as the official titles go but I'm not huge on that so, yeah unfortunately. It's just a mouthful, don't you think? Either way, as you saw earlier, the box remains relatively the same so nothing too new from Colourpop's packaging here.
As always, they have this special print on the top. This is in Thumper by the way, just to show you guys the pattern on top! It's a real bright pink which reminds me of the Sleek Pixie Pink blush. This shade should look lovely on mid- to darker skin tones! P.S I've used Pixie Pink on my mum and it does flatter her very well too.
Here is the suspect in question - Olive.
This is a limited edition shade, and it's a soft baby cool-toned pink that has hints of purple and blue in it. I like.
It's blurred because I repeatedly use it with a stippling brush which ruins the texture. Hence in order not to scare all of you, I decided to blur it out so you can only see the colour. Sorry about that!
These blushes are supposed to have the same formula as the eyeshadows, but somehow I find that Olive is harder to work with. It isn't exactly creamy although it is pigmented, and it makes it pretty hard to blend since it is quite hard to blend. It seems to set so quickly that I have to scramble for my brush and buff it in hard onto my face for an even finish. Even so, some parts seem to apply unevenly. Did I get a dud?

It's not totally impossible to work it, but it still needs some learning nonetheless. My friend who got Holiday said she had no real issues whatsoever, so it really may be just my luck.
I do like the shade though. It's a girly bubblegum pink that when sheered, gives a cheerful flush. The colour is buildable, thankfully.

Lasting power is not bad, about 6-7 hours max. It does lose out to my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface - plus dollface is a tad darker so somehow it looks more natural in terms of being long lasting. I find that if you pile on more however, it stains your cheeks quite well.
I still have a soft spot for this one however, in the natural finish that it gives and I recommend it for hot summer days ahead especially when you don't want to feel like you have a lot of powder on!

I probably won't repurchase this particular shade although I am grateful that I bought it all the same. Once you get the hang of the learning curve of this one it does get easier.
From right to left: applied with 2 swipes fully, sheered out
Love,
Brendy
