Post-Victorian Pride

I had the sudden urge to check back on some of my old archives, and lo and behold I stumbled upon this gem which I had saved quite a while back.

For the uninitiated, Mandy and I both hail from the little school known as Victoria Junior College. Or VJ for the lazier few of us that can't be bothered with pronouncing full names. In the year that Mandy won first place  for the annual music competition Musicfest, we also had this awesome submission by the 28th ODAC club for the music video category.

It is mind-blowing guys, mind-blowing.

I mean, check out the cinematography, editing and acting. Alright maybe VJ kids do have a knack to be a little more dramatic but hey it translates beautifully on screen.
I won't say too much about it but please check it out for your own entertainment pleasure. It's also partially inspiring for anyone who is slogging themselves through long nights and strange men (hahaha Ed Sheeran lyric right there).

Some other fun facts about my batch of VJC students: My classmate, the fantastic Farisha Ishak, happens to be The Final One winner with a brand new album Aligned. Another very talented lady by the name of Paige Lim has also written a beautiful article HERE on ThoughtCatalog.

Yes, I had the privilege to be around such talented people for two whole years.

What better way to end off by plastering backdated photos way back when I was still in VJ uniform all over here right.
Just for memories' sake.
I haven't added Mandy's because I know she won't want me to (haha) hence the very few photos haha.

11A12! (:

Yes in school I was so terrifying that I made my classmates hide from the camera (haha sorry Nat).

(this was taken with my lomo camera!)

Ah what youth we had. Okay back to university life.

WE ARE YOUNG AND WE ARE STRONG GUYS. HANG IN THERE.

Love,
Brendy
